The Association of Residential Managing Agents (ARMA) is the only body in England & Wales to focus exclusively on matters relating to the management of residential leasehold blocks of flats. With over 250 corporate members, of whom Mainstay is one, their founding principal aims are to represent its members and therefore the interests of lessees, resident management companies and investor freeholders.

The Home Builders Federation is the principal trade organisation for private sector housebuilders, which brings together key members of the house building industry in England and Wales.
The IRPM was launched in early 2002 as a means of delivering a portable professional qualification in residential property management, available to anyone working in the sector, and one which would be accepted by all those operating within it. The Association of Residential Managing Agents (ARMA,) Association of Retirement Housing Managers (ARHM) and the Property Managers Association Scotland (PMAS) were founding sponsors in 2002.
The Ombudsman Services: Property (OSP) were originally set up to handle complaints about members of RICS, but now also assist in the resolution of complaints about chartered surveying firms, surveyors, estate agents, residential managing agents and other property professionals from consumers using their services.
They have been approved by the Office of Fair Trading (OFT) as an estate agent redress scheme, and the Association of Residential Managing Agents (ARMA) made it a requirement for its members to belong to an ombudsman scheme and recommended Ombudsman Services: Property.
The Leasehold Advisory Service (LEASE) is an Executive Non Departmental Public Body (ENDPB) funded by Government to provide free advice on the law affecting residential leasehold and commonhold property in England and Wales.
